Welcome to the home of the erstwhile Lord of Mouzay!
In the heart of Argonne, 25 kilometres from Verdun and just an hour from Paris by high-speed train, Pierrette and Jacques Dauphin welcome guests to a quiet rural setting in their 18th-century country house in the small village of Autrécourt-sur-Aire in the Aire Valley.
One wing of this interesting house contains a family suite furnished with antique centre finds (Gîtes de France - 3 ears of corn). It's ideal for family holidays in the country, consisting of one room with 1 double bed and a second room with a double bed and 1 single. There is also an en-suite and a well-equipped kitchen.
You can also make use of the spacious lounge, which has a TV and a selection of books, just what you need for a relaxing time beside the fire.
From Autrécourt-sur-Aire, there are some excellent walking trails in the Argonne Forest. This is also an opportunity to explore Verdun and its battlefield sites, after travelling along a stretch of the famous "Sacred Way" (Voie sacrée).
