Hannonville-sous-les-Côtes is a typical Lorraine village located within the regional country park, in the Meuse Hills, the land of mirabelle plum orchards and vineyards just 16 km from the leisure complex at Lake Madine, 28 km from Verdun and 27 km from Saint-Mihiel.
Cécile and Francis Pisoni welcome guests to their country house, "La Lorraine", which they have tastefully and enthusiastically renovated.
The "Cœur" room (Gîtes de France - 3 ears of corn) is on the first floor of their B&B. It is a spacious room with 1 double bed, 1 cot and an en-suite. Babycare equipment can be provided if required i.e. a folding cot, high chair and bottle warmer.
Breakfast is served in the conservatory, or on the patio in fine weather, a chance to taste Cécile's pastries and jams.
Why not take advantage of your stay in Hannonville-sous-les-Côtes to enjoy a table d’hôtes meal of local dishes prepared by Cécile and find out more about Lorraine's authentic cuisine?
There is so much to see and do, starting from Hannonville-sous-les-Côtes. A visit to Verdun is a "must" during your stay. See the citadel and World Centre for Peace, or take a cruise on the Meuse. On the battlefield, see the Douaumont Ossuary, Fort Vaux and Fort Douaumont, the destroyed villages, the Verdun Mémorial Museum, the Trench of Bayonets etc.
If you enjoy heritage and history, don't miss Saint-Mihiel, home to some particularly fine works by Renaissance sculptor Ligier Richier. You can also head for the leisure complex at Lake Madine and enjoy a wide range of activities with your children (aerial assault course, riding, golf, swimming, angling etc.).
The lake at Lachaussée is another popular spot, especially in autumn when it hosts the Fish Festival.
The many walking trails nearby provide an opportunity for some great walks in beautiful unspoilt countryside, amid the orchards and vineyards.
