The CPIE (permanent centre for environmental initiatives) is an association involved in the sustainable development of the regions, aimed at humanistic environmental management.
The CPIE's addresses the environment using a global approach that incorporates not only the natural, built or cultural heritages but also the inhabitants with their skills and talents, practices and organisational methods.
The CPIE is thereby contributing towards the creation of responsible behaviours towards our living environment:
- by developing environmental education initiatives at all levels (schoolchildren, professionals, politicians, the public at large...),
- by fostering better awareness of the environment in regional projects and programs on the part of local and regional communities within the fields of local development, tourism, economic and social development, and of the optimisation of the natural human heritage,
- by fostering the best participative initiatives with the inhabitants and local stakeholders.
The activities offered by the CPIE are as varied as the audiences and the themes: educational and extracurricular activities, the public at large, environmental-discovery breaks, coaching...
