Hunting

The vast Meuse forests are teeming with wild boar and deer. The Office National des Forêts (Forestry commission) provides wild-boar hunting, stag and deer drives with hounds and beaters, and stalking or hunting from a hide on 3000 hectares of the Verdun national forest, from June to January. Bookings on +33 (0)3 29 84 82 27 or +33 (0)6 72 75 73 33.
½-day group tours are also offered. On the theme: The memorial forests, the red zone, remains of battlefields and the history of the forests up to the present time (Argonne, Morthomme, Verdun, and Eparges).

Two other organisations offer hunting days:


FERME DE FRAICUL
On a terrain of 150 hectares, days hunting pheasant and grey partridge. 12 birds will be released per huntsman (6 pheasant and 6 partridges). From 3 to 12 guns (in a group) per day of hunting.
 
AUBERGE DU FAISAN DORE
Massif of 750 hectares on the North of the Meuse:
Price of the hunting for a day in the big game (wild boars and roe deers): €100 included lunch.
Possibility of Weekend of hunting on 2 days (wild boars, roe deers and cervids): €200 included lunch.
Accommodation in supplement (Hotel, breakfast and dinner: €60 per person).
